Yoga isn't a sport

Updated: May 17, 2022

When it is said Yoga:

🔴 It does not refer to Asanas (postures) particularly. But to a meditative thing. "Thing" because words are limited here. Asanas have no intention to be a sport. It is not built for that. To approach it that way limits it for what it actually transcends.

The intention is so important here. Think about it. Are you buying a phone to eat on it, using it as a support for your table ? No, you use the technology for what it can offer, at its full potential, right ?

First, open the phone.

Then all will unfolds at its own rhythm.

🟡 When it is said Yoga, it is only a word.

Is the sign the experience though ?

It is part of it, like the grass, or flowers. Yoga is not something to imagine. It is to experience. It is concrete, close to yourself, reaaally close, haha.

🟣 So it is not about words, beliefs, and that's the beauty of it, the freedom it gives.

It is not about performing physical beauty, gymnastic.

It is not about how your body looks or feels like (not enough, this or that...).

🪔 Body : tool. Then let go of the tool, and enjoy, have a good laugh at it all.

Therefore, it is really meant when it said that : flexibility, shape of the body, interests, age, sex, context of life, are all welcome. As it is not the subject here. Not at all.

You are loved and welcome to take to the ride,

No requirements, no notion of time, level, goal, appearance...
